We will have photo coverage of the event along with interviews from the drivers and crews.
Watch for further developments.
Thursday update! We just arrived in Bradenton and stopped by Don Garlits Museum of Drag Racing. And yes! we took pictures.
Friday update! First round qualifying is over and we have had two records broken. The first of Bob Kurgan in Drag Radial. The second was SSO 5 time champion John Urist who had the old record of 7.35 and shattered it with a jaw dropping 7.29 @ 194mph!
Saturday update! The tires are not the only things heating up around here! In the final round of qualifying we have had three records smashed. Factory Stock broke into the ten second barrier, with Tommy Godfrey running a stellar 10.96@121mph! Defending champion in Drag Radial Jason Lee showed his dominance with a 7.94@180mph! In Super Street Outlaw the small block nitrous car of Samuel Vincent sprayed his way to a 7.28@192mph!
Sunday update! The first NMRA of 2010 is over and there were some really great races in the finals! Tommy Godfrey won factory stock. Jim Beese took the win in Real Street while Alton Clements won in Renegade. Jason Lee won in Drag Radial, Johnny Mac took home the SSO win. Conrad Scarry started off the 2010 season with a win! Stay tuned for the interview with Scarry's crew Randy and Keith as they replay what they went through to build the new car after the crash at this event last year. Pictures will be posted in a few days, when we reaturn from sunny but cool Florida! |
